LA MAISON

The first LA MAISON, on Paul-Lincke-Ufer since 2019: croissants, tarts and filled baguettes, a terrace on the canal.

Andreas Altmeyer comes from Frankfurt, lived in Lyon and missed a café in Berlin with good coffee and French pastries. In May 2019, with a French baker friend, he opened LA MAISON on Paul-Lincke-Ufer, the first of what are now several shops.

A dark concrete counter with the display runs through the room, the wooden chairs come from French flea markets, and the coffee is served in painted crockery. There are croissants, brioches, tarts, quiches and filled baguettes. Outside you sit on the linden-lined street by the canal, and until early evening the terrace serves wine and spritz. Open every day from 7 am.
