Comedor on Kantstraße in Charlottenburg — owner Raul Oliver Arriaga, born in Mexico City and starting in Berlin with his Kreuzberg taqueria Chaparro in 2011, opened this contemporary Mexican kitchen here in August 2024.
The room mixes Scandinavian furniture with the warm earthen colours of Mexico. Ingredients are mostly regional — tip-Berlin calls it 'how regional Mexican cuisine can be'. Four margarita variations, non-alcoholic Aguas Frescas. Signature: Prignitz corn chicken in a savoury mole of vegetables, cocoa and chilli, served with potato hay and house-made tortillas.
