Café Komine
SchönebergFrench-Japanese patisserie on Welserstraße, weekends only: Mont Blanc with chestnut cream, matcha choux and sencha.

Shin Komine was a cellist before he trained as a pâtissier at Le Cordon Bleu in Tokyo. In December 2016 he opened his French-Japanese patisserie on Welserstraße, a small, simple café with a tiny front garden on a quiet side street. It opens only at weekends.
Insider tip
„Order the Mont Blanc — chestnut cream shaped like a pleated rococo dress.“
The display holds tarts that are closer to jewellery. The Mont Blanc with chestnut cream looks like a falling, pleated rococo dress, and the chou à la crème comes with matcha. Komine uses only natural flavours and no ready-made products. With the cake there is sencha, served in a tea bowl on a flower-print mat, with a small carafe of water and mint leaves alongside.
