BRLO Charlottenburg

Berlin brewery BRLO's gastropub in the former Irish pub The Harp: 20 taps, rotisserie vegetables, Kikok chicken and a terrace on Meyerinckplatz.

Where The Harp, one of the oldest Irish pubs in the city, used to be, the Berlin brewery BRLO has been pouring since October 2023. The name is the Old Slavic word for Berlin. It is the brewery's fifth venue, after the Brwhouse at Gleisdreieck, the Kaschk bar in Mitte and Chicken & Beer at KaDeWe.

At the centre is a round bar with 20 taps, from Berliner Weisse to Helles, plus wine and beer cocktails BRLO developed with Arnd Henning Heißen. Outside there is a large terrace on Meyerinckplatz. The kitchen sets out to rethink brewhouse food: lots of vegetables from the rotisserie and Kikok chicken as crispy fried chicken, pulled chicken sandwich or burger. There is a lunch deal on weekdays and a separate brunch menu. If you want beer for home on the way out, the late-night shop in the building fills it into a growler.
