Out of the „Lobb" pop-up at Casa Camper (summer 2024) emerged something permanent: Caecilia Baldszus and Arash Ghassemi have been running the hotel’s full food programme on Weinmeisterstraße since March 2025, in two distinct shifts — weekend breakfast and an evening service, with the bar going until 1 a.m.
The name sounds Italian; the concept is Berlin. The breakfast pick: çilbir — Turkish eggs in yoghurt with Mexican salsa macha. Two cuisines, one glass. What Bar Basta really sells is the feeling of stumbling into a place in a city you don’t know, with no reservation, and being carried by it.
