Berlin power-restaurant in Mitte, the kind of place politics, film and longtime regulars have been booking for decades.
The dining room is Jugendstil staging: tall columns under stucco ceilings. The French-Mediterranean kitchen has collected awards — but most of the energy goes to the Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad, long a Berlin staple. The cutlet typically hangs over the edge of the plate; sides come on separate orders. Upstairs sits the Beletage, available for private bookings. Reservations need a head start — walk-ins are rare.
