Owner Gaurav Sharma runs Patakha on Urbanstraße as the next chapter of his Berlin India project — tip-Berlin says the house dares the full taste of India.
Close to 100 spices work in the kitchen, among them stone flower, a growth that sits like moss on rock. The menu draws on chaats, kebabs and dishes from north and south India. Signature: Chicken Dum Biryani, a leg braised under a dough lid with its own rice. At the bar a Curryleaf Gimlet as an in-house creation, plus salted cumin and pepper lemonades.
