On Linienstraße in Mitte, the owner-chef duo runs a German-regional seasonal kitchen under the motto „Let's put it simple“.
The menu changes, the produce comes from the region — lunch from noon to 4 pm, a rotating evening card from 6 pm. The Lokal carries the DNA of its predecessor canteen, which started as the midday address of a neighbouring architecture office, until demolition work ended the conservatory location. Simplicity with loving detail, handmade designer tables, a menu that breathes with the season. In winter, that means wood pigeon with carrots, pointed cabbage and spring onions in caramel beer reduction.
