Kreuzberger Himmel

KreuzbergMiddle EasternClosed now · opens 14:00

Restaurant and social project run by the Be an Angel association on Yorckstraße — Syrian cooking.

The team comes from Syria, Afghanistan and also Iraq and Pakistan. Staff are trained here and placed in other kitchens. Laylali Jafaar runs the kitchen. The room is warm: saffron tones, plants and restrained wall décor — calm even when the front is busy. On the menu: crisp Sanbousaks, a cold mezze plate with hummus and baba ganoush, Lebanese Cuvées de Printemps with flatbread. The signature is Kabse — chicken with lemon over rice studded with almonds and cashews, a Syrian feast dish.
