St. Bart

Gastropub on Graefestraße modelled on London's St. John: brick chicken, oysters and a legendary Sunday roast.

Lee Thompson comes from Australia. In mid-2017 he and his wife took over a space on Graefestraße, and in August they opened St. Bart, a homage to London and Fergus Henderson's St. John. It became one of the city's few real gastropubs, with white-tiled walls, candlelight and pints on tap.

Permanent fixtures on the menu are oysters, langoustines and the brick chicken, with dishes from the board such as bone marrow on toast or glazed bonito collar. The Sunday roast is a neighbourhood legend, Mondays bring magnums and pie, and a bacon sandwich with a beer at the bar is one of the best deals in town. The kitchen opens Monday to Saturday from 6 pm and on Sundays from 1 pm.
