On Akazienstraße sits the Akazienkiez branch of Saveur de Bánh Mì: two items on the menu, a chicken bánh mì and a vegan one.
Both eight euros, both built on the same baguette. The bread is baked just for the shop at a Neukölln bakery, crackling outside, cloud-fluffy inside – nobody else in Berlin does it quite like this. You order via QR code at the table, pay online, and cash never crosses the counter. Inside: minimalist fit-out with a narrow counter, almost no seats – this is takeaway architecture, not a hang-around spot. Into the baguette go pickled radish, carrot and cilantro.
