Pinci

Italian daytime bar on Große Hamburger Straße in the Milanese style: focaccia, pasta, coffee and aperitivo.

Pinci on the corner of Große Hamburger Straße and Auguststraße works like a Milanese daytime bar: quick, good food, good coffee, good drinks, no frills. It was founded by Manu, Lu Leisering and Silvan. Manu runs the kitchen and has Italian roots, and the name comes from his family, in which every man is called Pinci. The three have since opened a second place, Breda, on Paul-Lincke-Ufer.

The menu changes daily and stays simple: coppa with hazelnuts, focaccia sandwiches, rotating pasta and salads. There is coffee, cocktails and a well-chosen wine list. The room is minimalist, with small tables and big windows. Open on weekdays from late morning into the evening, closed at weekends.
