Österelli

Austrian cooking on Bismarckstraße: Wiener Schnitzel from milk-fed veal, Krenschnitzel, Käsespätzle and lots of vegetarian dumplings.

At Österelli on Bismarckstraße, Julia and Andi are the hosts. They cook the classics of Austrian cuisine with produce from the region and from Austria. There is now a second Österelli in Potsdam.

The Wiener Schnitzel from milk-fed veal comes with potato and cucumber salad, the Krenschnitzel in a crust of horseradish and breadcrumbs, the chicken schnitzel in a pumpkin seed crust. Much of the menu is vegetarian: handmade Käsespätzle with mountain cheese and fried onions, spinach dumplings in brown butter, beetroot dumplings with fresh horseradish, baked Kaspressknödel and a celeriac schnitzel. There is also Käsekrainer with fries and Grammelknödel filled with crisp pork crackling.
