Dieselhaus
Brewhouse in Mitte built around a listed diesel generator — eleven Hofbräuhaus Traunstein beers, wooden cask at the table.
Dieselhaus is a German restaurant in Mitte, priced 20–30 €. Open Mon-Sun 12:00-22:00.
Dieselhaus in the new Forum an der Museumsinsel — recently opened, an industrial-style build wrapped around the listed diesel generator of the old telegraph office.
Hence the name. Iron beams and leather inside, terrace with a view of the synagogue dome and maypole outside. Across two floors runs a brewhouse concept with eleven beers from Hofbräuhaus Traunstein, a centuries-old Bavarian brewery. The menu mixes Southern German classics with Berlin plates — pick: the roast pork. Format feature: an eleven-litre wooden cask tapped at the table yourself, with stone mug and wooden mallet.
