Der Goldene Hahn on Pücklerstraße is a Kreuzberg classic for simple Italian food. The small restaurant in the Wrangelkiez is rustic and cosy, with brick walls and candlelight.

There is no fixed menu. Everything is cooked fresh each day according to the season, and the dishes are written on a board brought to the table. One of the specialities is caponata siciliana. To drink there are modern Italian wines from small producers, and at the bar and by the window there is aperitivo and good music. Larger groups eat a shared menu from big platters. Bar Gallina and Fratelli La Bionda belong to the same house. Open every evening from 6 pm.
