René Frank and Oliver Bischoff opened CODA on Friedelstraße in Neukölln in 2016 — Frank in the kitchen, Bischoff on interior.

In 2020 the house earned its second Michelin star, becoming the first dessert restaurant in the world to hold two. The concept turns dessert technique onto savoury ground: 13 to 15 courses, five flavor profiles, no refined sugar — each paired with a drink calibrated to the flavour arc. Frank was named World’s Best Pastry Chef in 2022. Facade dark with graffiti, entry via discreet doorbell. Reservation mandatory, long lead time.
