Jessica Jeworutzki started baking when she went vegan and realised at a birthday party that there were no vegan doughnuts in Europe. From 2015 she and her partner Bram van Montfort sold doughnuts at markets and events, and in 2016 the shop on Maybachufer followed. It has grown into Europe's first vegan doughnut chain, with shops in Berlin, Hamburg and now even at BER airport.

On Maybachufer the counter is full of doughnuts, all vegan, with fair-trade coffee. Besides classics like Choc Peanut Fudge and Strawberry Sprinkles there are monthly specials, in autumn for example Pumpkin Spice or a tiramisu doughnut. Since 2018 part of every Strawberry Sprinkles goes to non-profit organisations, and more than 500,000 euros have been raised so far.
