Bar Zentral sits in a brick S-Bahn arch opposite Theater des Westens.

Founded by two former Green Door Bar bartenders, the place runs on classic American bar principles: Cognac, whiskey, and Champagne anchor the menu. The signature Tristesse Royal mixes Cognac, Dom Bénédictine, red vermouth, and absinthe. Ceiling fans spin above the long bar counter; the black back bar holds the finer spirits. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 5pm.
