Tian Fu
Pure Sichuan tradition with chili-peppercorn heat, steamed and fried dim sum, and a hot pot buffet — three houses citywide, original on Uhlandstraße.
Tian Fu is a Chinese restaurant in Charlottenburg, priced 20–30 €. Open Mon closed, Tue-Fri 12:00-15:00,17:30-22:30, Sat-Sun 12:00-22:30.
On Uhlandstraße, Tian Fu cooks to traditional Sichuan recipes, with the highest demands on every ingredient, all of them fresh and carefully selected.
Chili and Sichuan peppercorn form the base of this fiery cuisine, the peppercorn closer to citrus plants than to black pepper and leaving a slightly numbing-electric heat with a subtle citrus aroma. As a dual signature stand the steamed or fried dim sum alongside the deeply popular hot pot buffet, a Chinese fondue with vegetables and meat slowly simmering in seasoned broth. The large round table at the centre is often taken by Chinese parties, right in the middle of Charlottenburg.
