Kanal61 sits on Erkelenzdamm right by the Landwehrkanal in Kreuzberg, a short walk from Kottbusser Tor.
The dining room runs on dark wood, pine green and chrome with vinyl from old turntables — the space was once a closed prep kitchen. The menu changes daily, the cooking leans seasonal and regional, the format is built for sharing. Headline order is the Escabeche mussel toast, the dish that lands on most tables. Around it sit cured sardines with einkorn shoyu, beef tartare with katsuobushi soya and pork belly with karashi mustard. Doors open Wednesday to Sunday in the evening, the wine list leans hard into natural wine.
