Hidden in the second courtyard off Anklamer Straße: dark wood, an eclectic sharing menu, Semmelknödel with pulled beef as the clear favourite.
heimlichTreu is a European restaurant in Mitte. Open Mon closed, Tue-Sun 18:00-01:00.
heimlichTreu sits in the second courtyard off Anklamer Straße and turns the hunt for the entrance into part of the evening.
Once inside, the room reads warm: dim light, dark wood, concrete accents and seating that gives you actual space instead of stools and tiny tables. The sharing menu refuses to commit: drinks file as 'fließend', wines as 'gepresste', food as 'bissig'. One dish breaks out of the multi-course lineup, Semmelknödel with pulled beef and marinated onion, the favourite of the night. The aperitif programme earns the walk through the courtyards, a vegan lavender gelato with raspberries closes things out.
