The Knast inside a former women's prison in Lichterfelde — the building's old seriousness echoes only architecturally: raw stone, barred windows, modern interior.
Host Janina Atmadi, previously at the starred The NoName on Oranienburger Straße, has made the kitchen more approachable while keeping the bar similarly high. The card is precise, every dish summed up in a few words. Signature: skrei with black rice, mussel and fennel — Norwegian winter cod perfectly cooked, the mussels salty, the rice nutty. In summer, the hidden shade garden.
