On Kastanienallee two concepts share one address.
Smash'd Eatery serves Middle Eastern bowls — cardamom-spiced rice, hummus, labneh, sambal under zaatar and sumac — alongside smash burgers off the grill. Forn SimSim is the Levantine bakery next door, baking sourdough manakeesh in a stone oven, topped with zaatar or minced lamb. Plates carry baby okra, aubergine with chutney, biryani turned up loud on spice. The room stays small, the seasoning stays heavy, the line between snack counter and sit-down dinner blurs.
