Wen Cheng on Schönhauser Allee 65 is the original address of a brand that today has two more Berlin locations — brothers Rui and Peng Gao built the concept together with Valentin Spieß and named it after a dying dialect from Zhejiang Province their mother speaks.
Berlin Meisterköche awarded the place best neighbourhood restaurant in the city in 2022. The kitchen is open, the menu narrow: hand-pulled biang biang noodles in several levels of heat, bao buns alongside. The line at the door is part of the programme — come early for an inside seat, later for the sidewalk tables.
