The Wen Cheng brand by brothers Rui and Peng Gao with Valentin Spieß takes its name from a dying dialect from Zhejiang their mother speaks — the original on Schönhauser Allee 65 was named best neighbourhood restaurant in the city by Berlin Meisterköche in 2022.

This second branch sits a block further along the Schönhauser, opened in response to the queue at the original. The menu focuses on the spicy noodle bowls with beef. The pick: the W1 with beef, with smashed cucumber salad alongside — the combination works. No reservations, plan some wait on a Friday evening.
