Carte Blanche, the restaurant inside the SO/ Berlin Das Stue hotel on the edge of the Tiergarten.
French bistro classics, polished but easy. Host Adnan Cetin, previously many years at The Regent. The room is familiar as ever, only the benches freshly upholstered, black-and-white photographs on the walls. Seven starters and seven mains on the card. Signature: beef-fillet tatar à la française — mixed tableside with egg yolk, anchovies and capers plus Tabasco. Served with toasted baguette. Aperitif, by the house's own admission, un-French at the bar.
